AnalysisChongqing aims to tackle scrap tires

Chongqing local government aims to boost its end-of-life tire programs. The city produced 8m end-of-life tires in 2014 and expects this to reach 10m in 2015. The weight of this is around 240,000 tonnes and if burned in power stations it could represent a saving in fuel costs of RMB 88m – 1000m annually. Source:
