AnalysisChemChina acquires Syngenta for US$43 billion

China National Chemical Corp (ChemChina) is to acquire Syngenta, one of the world’s leading agrochemical companies and global seed industry leader through public tender offer of US$ 43 billion. ChemChina is in the final stages of buying Pirelli and last month announced its intention to buy Berstorff parent, Kraussmaffei. Source: ChemChina press release
